“I happened to stumble upon u0026quot;Hardcore Comedyu0026quot; (aka u0026quot;Zhong kou weiu0026quot;) from 2013 by writers Yiu Fai Lo and, Henri Wong. I hadnu0026#39;t heard about the movie prior to getting a chance to sit down and watch it in 2020. But of course, with my love for the Hong Kong cinema, of course I did sit down to watch it when I was given the chance.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;Hardcore Comedyu0026quot; was less funny than I had expected it to be. Perhaps because I wasnu0026#39;t aware that the movie was based around an adult theme, and not bearing the title u0026quot;Hardcore Comedyu0026quot; because it was going to be amazingly funny. So I was in for somewhat of a surprise.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWith that being said, donu0026#39;t get me wrong. u0026quot;Hardcore Comedyu0026quot; is definitely watchable, and there is a good connection between the three different story segments in this movie anthology. Each segment was something unique and very different from the previous, but tied nicely together.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe acting in the movie was good, and they had some nice actors and actresses on the cast list. This was, however, mostly unfamiliar faces to me, which is something I actually enjoy in a movie.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAll in all, u0026quot;Hardcore Comedyu0026quot; lands a six out of ten stars from me.”
