Marcus Jansen: Examine u0026 Report: Directed by John Scoular. With Richard Beavers, Noah Becker, Marcus Jansen, Steve Lazarides. From street graffiti to museums, a chronicle of how graffiti artist’s or urban expressionism broke through the mainstream art institution and the impact their social commentary had on war, politics and propaganda in our society.

“Marcus Jansen, the artist, gets it. His work and his voice speak clearly; emanating through his own feelings and emotions. The title of the work, u0026quot;Examine and Reportu0026quot;, might more accurately be u0026quot;Observe, Feel and Let Flyu0026quot; unless the director was trying to be sarcastic. It is possible Marcus would be just as successful an artist if he were not ex-military. Whose life is not a battle? I agree with the reviewer (1 star) who could not abide the blonde. She speaks an academic language of history and criticism, which ironically have little to do with art and artist. Read Otto Ranku0026#39;s u0026quot;Art and Artistu0026quot; for what are still the wisest of words on the matter. It was a personal publishing project of Alfred Knopf during the 1930s. Also read Otto Ranku0026#39;s biography by E. James Lieberman, MD, as well as all the works of Otto Rank; doing so will allow you to effortlessly tune-out the academic and give this wonderful piece the five stars it deserves. Bravo Marcus Jansen. We need many more of you.”
