Cul de sac: Directed by David Finch, Maureen Marovitch. With Mark Hauser, Alison Louder, Ish Morris, Véronique Parent. Fanny and her best friend, Sonia are street-kids, newly arrived in Montreal (Canada) from a small town. The first weeks are fun and deliciously dangerous. The girls are far away from authority, school and Fanny’s mother’s boyfriend. But after several weeks of coasting downtown, what happens on a joyride with no exit ramp in sight?

“I lived for over a year on the streets of Toronto. I think this film gives a realistic idea about what it is, and takes, to live on the streets of a north American city. The daily battle to survive …making wrong decisions (alcohol, hard drugs, prostitution) The costumes look great. With more money put in the camera and sound department, this film could be better.”
