Monolith (2016)

Monolith: Directed by Ivan Silvestrini. With Katrina Bowden, Krew Hodges, Nixon Hodges, Damon Dayoub. A mother and her son plan a surprise visit to Los Angeles to see her husband/his father. Halfway there they get into a terrible accident in the middle of nowhere and now must fight to survive.

“For a certain situation to happen, a lot of things have to go sideways. And you have to understand that it doesnu0026#39;t have to be logical, it just has to bring us where we end up. So the main character going there, is terrible, but to some extend acceptable. What is unacceptable though, is her behavior with a kid in the car.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWhich is one of the points leading to a certain situation. But really there is no love lost for someone like that. Itu0026#39;s tough to root for someone or feel for someone like that. Then again itu0026#39;s all about the kid isnu0026#39;t it? Yes and you could also argue, itu0026#39;s just a movie. And thatu0026#39;s where it loses me or my interest. So the tension is almost completely gone, maybe if you accept certain things, youu0026#39;ll be on the edge of your seat. But I do doubt it very much”
