Astaron – Brut des Schreckens (1980)
66KAstaron – Brut des Schreckens: Directed by Luigi Cozzi. With Ian McCulloch, Louise Marleau, Marino Masé, Siegfried Rauch. A former astronaut helps a government agent and a police detective track the source of mysterious alien pod spores, filled with lethal flesh-dissolving acid, to a South American coffee plantation controlled by alien pod clones.
“In an abandoned ship in Ney York harbor, coffee boxes are found containing green eggs that have the same effect as u0026#39;chestburstersu0026quot; did in those Alien movies. So you know there are gonna be lots of exploiding bodies (both humans and rats) in this ultra-cheesy Italian rip-off of u0026quot;Alienu0026quot;. It Is fun though (the begining and end, not so much the middle) if youu0026#39;re into Italian horror, which I am. It has a cool Goblins score as well. But why the hell would you have a shower scene and NO nudity??!!? what a waist. Iu0026#39;ll tell you this though, the part in that u0026quot;Nightmare on Elm Streetu0026quot; movie where freddy swallows one of his victims whole doesnu0026#39;t seem to be all that original now.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBlue Underground DVD Extras: u0026#39;Alien Arrives on Earthu0026#39; (an 18 minute documentary); a 23 minutes interview with Luigi Cozzi; theatrical trailer; poster u0026amp; stills gallery; and conceptual drawingsu003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eDVD-ROM: Graphic novelu003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMy Grade: B-“
