Drunken Fist (2021). 1h 19m

“Right, well with an English title such as u0026quot;Drunken Fistu0026quot;, then I have to admit that I was expecting this movie to at least include the drunken Kung-Fu style martial arts.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThen imagine my surprise when that particular style of Kung-Fu wasnu0026#39;t used in the movie. Talk about feeling cheated and talk about false advertising in the title.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe storyline in u0026quot;Drunken Fistu0026quot; was a generic era-set martial arts movie. You are not going to be in for anything grant, extraordinary or even particularly entertaining for that matter. The narrative was slow paced, and there simple wasnu0026#39;t enough happening throughout the course of the 79 minutes that the movie ran for. And the wooden character gallery didnu0026#39;t exactly help to sell the movie either.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe acting performances in the movie were mediocre. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Again, if you have seen any old era-based martial arts movie, then you have essentially already seen what will be presented on the screen here. It was generic and bland.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe martial arts sequences in u0026quot;Drunken Fistu0026quot; were actually adequate, at least the movie had that going for it.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAll in all, director Yinghua Fang delivered a very bland and generic martial arts feature with this 2021 movie. It is not a movie that I would recommend you waste your time, money or effort on.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMy rating of u0026quot;Drunken Fistu0026quot; lands on a four out of ten stars.”
