Royalteen: Princess Margrethe (2023). Royalteen: Princess Margrethe: Directed by Ingvild Søderlind. With Elli Rhiannon Müller Osborne, Sammy Germain Wadi, Amalie Sporsheim, Filip Bargee Ramberg. In the wake of her prom scandal, Princess Margrethe longs for normalcy as she struggles to maintain her perfect facade while dealing with family drama.

“This film picks up right where Royalteen left off, with Princess Margarethe face down in the middle of the prom. I am a massive fan of the Norwegian series Skam, which is how I watched Royalteen in the first place and while that one dealt with some darker values…I felt like this was a much weaker film as we deal with the twin sister Margarethe.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMargarethe is supposed to be the picture of the perfect royal, but she is not. I failed to connect with the message almost immediately as I donu0026#39;t perceive Margarethe as anywhere near perfect…even in her obligatory appearances. She is a titled, spoiled rich girl who wastes her time on drugs, alcohol, pity parties, and being spectacularly awful to people. She has a friend who wants to be a famous dj which she encourages (the only nice thing she does in the film) and she wastes even more valuable time by offering herself up to the Danish prince and then a random Good Samaritan. Her big amazing u0026quot;shockingu0026quot; moment did not seeing shocking let alone interesting.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWhereas Royalteen had some redeeming qualities…this film does not. I am afraid this is not a recommendation from me.”
