Casanova ’70: Directed by Mario Monicelli. With Marcello Mastroianni, Virna Lisi, Marisa Mell, Enrico Maria Salerno. The amorous adventures of Andrea Rossi-Colombotti, an army officer who finds pleasure with beautiful women in life-threatening situations.

“u0026quot;Casanova u0026#39;70u0026quot; is a colourful movie directed by Mario Monicelli, one of the Italian comedy masters. The film follows the sexual adventures of Andrea (Marcello Mastroianni), a handsome u0026quot;Casanovau0026quot; who thinks being impotent, in reality he only needs danger for being excited and conquer women…u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe film is a product of its time (we clearly see that weu0026#39;re in 1965!), but itu0026#39;s funny and teases the myth of Italian u0026quot;machou0026quot;. The merit of the picture is talking about sex without being vulgar. Mastroianni shows a comical approach and is at ease, also the rest of the cast enjoy (we see, among others, gorgeous women like Virna Lisi, Michèle Mercier and Marisa Mell…). In a role -Mellu0026#39;s husband- we find Italian director Marco Ferreri, famous for u0026quot;outrageousu0026quot; movies like u0026quot;La grande bouffeu0026quot;, u0026quot;Tales of ordinary madnessu0026quot;, u0026quot;Bye bye Monkeyu0026quot; and long time friend of Marcello Mastroianni.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eOnce more, when we see such films we miss an extremely vivacious Italian cinema which doesnu0026#39;t exist any more.”
