Das Haus am Wald: Directed by Mark Murphy. With Tony Curran, Diana Vickers, Rupert Hill, Peter Woodward. Deep in the English moors, a sociopath preys on innocent people, until one day his secrets are finally revealed and an inevitable confrontation is at hand.

“The film starts with the main character Jake having an accident on his way to an unnamed city for an important u0026#39;once in a lifetimeu0026#39; meeting. He has an accident on the road and awakens in the care of Morris and his daughter. OK so thatu0026#39;s the main bit in a paragraph or so.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIu0026#39;ve seen plenty of bad reviews for this film and I donu0026#39;t agree with many of them. This is a horror film for horror fans and I think some people hoping for a drama or a psychological thriller have come into this and been disappointed. The acting is fine, the tension is built well and there is enough gore for horror fans to keep you engaged but its not to the point of overkill. (its not hostel or saw) Well written and believable characters helped it along and the scenery is well shot and helped me suspend my disbelief and be carried away to this British hillbilly incestuous nightmare. Overall if you enjoy horror and films like u0026#39;the loved onesu0026#39;, you will find something here to keep you entertained. I sincerely hope that writer/director keeps going with the horror genre because I really like what I have seen so far and god knows the genre is wide open for the taking 7/10”
