Bull: Directed by Annie Silverstein. With Rob Morgan, Amber Havard, Yolonda Ross, Keira Bennett. In a near-abandoned subdivision west of Houston, a wayward teen runs headlong into her equally willful and unforgiving neighbor, an aging bullfighter who’s seen his best days in the arena; it’s a collision that will change them both.

“Some say this film is slow, I say it takes the time to envelope you in the characters and environment. It gives you the space to understand the players and develop your own opinion of them as it goes.nEach character is very distinct except Crystal, who is developing and burgeoning. She knows her world is limited but also knows she needs to do something to make a life for herself.nIt reminds me a little of Winteru0026#39;s Bone, although the lead actor isnu0026#39;t quite as impressive as Jennifer Lawrence, she does hold you engaged as her story plays out.nYou canu0026#39;t help but feel sympathy for her but also recognise her stoic resolve.nItu0026#39;s a matter of fact film with a positive view of the world. I loved it.”
