“A whole confluence of issues are dealt with in Who Am I. Josiah David Warrenndirects and stars in this film about a pastor of a fundamentalist Christian churchnin San Antonio. Drugs, human trafficking abortion all dealt with and the answersnare the fundamentalist ones.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eOne thing that was curious. One of the characters is a black woman who says shenis a u0026#39;hermaphroditeu0026#39; born with the sex organs of both male and female. Thencorrect term for that is intersex, but I wouldnu0026#39;t expect fundamentalistnChristians to know that.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAs she confesses she mentioned that growing up the only ones who didnu0026#39;tngive her a hard time were gay people, A most revealing line.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut sheu0026#39;s had surgery in Mexico and now sheu0026#39;s ready to join the congregationnat Warrenu0026#39;s church. tu0026#39;s all a most halfhearted attempt to deal with transgendernissues within the parameters of the doctrine.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eGood thing for Warren this film hasnu0026#39;t gotten any attention from transgender rights groups.”
