“It is always surprising when you see a director evolving to explore other topics. MT usually focuses on very particular kind of topics such as S/M and lesbian sexuality. In this universe, her name is not only the one of a director but a real brand name.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSo when watching this film, I had questions in mind such as : – why a film about Rio kids from a director/ a woman who defines herself as non interested in kids, letting motherhood to others ? – will this documentary reveal a true talent from this director or will in opposite shows that this director is only known because she was beginning to be famous on a specific non-crowded segment at that time (ie : lesbo movies before Hollywoodu0026#39;s interest in) ? – can she broaden her exploration universe ? – is she sincere in what she does or is it just opportunist?u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis documentary gives a clear answer to all these questions.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIt shows a real match between the Director u0026amp; Bezerra de Mello and this friendship seems to be the starting point for this documentary adventure : a flash between 2 women. In this sense, this documentary is sincere. It reveals a sleeping talent for this director in social u0026amp; politics film. It is a pity (I would say u0026quot;schadeu0026quot; ; ) that MT does not let go definitely the L world to do films fitting more her academic background u0026amp; personal interest by the way (after all, have you seen a lot of Director with a Ph D ?:) She is really talented in offering the opportunity to a subject to speak by itself which is something desperately missing in most social documentaries nowadays.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTo conclude, as it was her first exploration outside the rainbow word, it is pretty well done and I hope it would open the path for other ideas of exploration”
