Campaign of Hate: Russia and Gay Propaganda: Directed by Michael Lucas, Scott Stern. With Michael Lucas. As most of the world moves forward toward gay equality, Russia is seemingly heading backward. Antigay sentiment and legislation are spreading rapidly throughout the country. In 2013, the Russian parliament passed a ban on so-called ‘gay propaganda’ that effectively makes nearly any public discussion of gay equality a crime. It is my hope that this documentary will educate viewers to their reality.

“This documentary tells the story of LGBT individuals in Russia, and the dangers they face in a country where anti LGBT propaganda is rampant.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe documentary interviews many LGBT activists, both in Russia and those who left Russia, It is emotional to hear the horrors the face in Russia. It is also interesting that the anti LGBT politician agreed to be interviewed as well. One thing I noticed is that many people who are interviewed do not look into the camera or at the interviewer.. It would be interesting to explore why that is the case.”
