Engaged by Christmas (TV Movie 2024). 1h 27m | TV-PG

“The story starts with one of the more common setups where Zoe expects a proposal and gets dumped. She feels like her blog needs a romantic component so it leads her to creating a fake relationship. Itu0026#39;s not really fake, but it doesnu0026#39;t really start out as a romantic relationship. Meanwhile, Adam is an overworked advice columnist, posing as Adora.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBrittany Bristow is one of my favorites in Christmas movies so it makes me sad to see her Zoe be so neurotic and pathetic. She is so rigid and for a while almost belligerent. She is obsessed with getting back with Cary, who dumped her. These arenu0026#39;t traits I like in Bristow. Then suddenly there is a scene with fake glasses where Bristow looks fake because her joy is such a sudden change. After that things get much better. Adam proves to be a help and the changes bring out the positive aspects of Bristowu0026#39;s Zoe. This Zoe is much more in Bristowu0026#39;s wheelhouse. While the relationship is a bit unusual at first, Zoe and Adam are still thrown together in a number of Christmas activities.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI found the obstacle or conflict a little surprising. It actually develops in a couple of stages. I wasnu0026#39;t impressed with the ending but it was ok.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBristow and Marcus Rosner have good chemistry. The acting good. The dialogue is OK.”
