“This is a homemade horror, in every sense of the term.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBased on the production quality alone, you can tell it was shot on practically no budget whatsoever.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut for what it is…itu0026#39;s really not that bad.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe story centers around a young girl, who takes on a babysitting job for a woman to whom darkness is attracted.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThrough her daughter, the girl learns that they had moved away, only to return three weeks later.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAfter finding her mother wandering aimlessly through the woods, among some sort of ritual altar.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTurns out, she was lured by a ghost…who has since become attached to the woman- who now haunts her house.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eParticularly, the basement.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHence the title.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe ghost is, well…not good.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eItu0026#39;s just a woman with a blonde wig and black mask.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAnd of course a few props, which look like they were purchased from Spirit Of Halloween.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eLike I said…itu0026#39;s real low budget.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe filmmakers do have some promise though.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBecause they do a decent job in regards to character development.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSo, considering what they were clearly working with…they didnu0026#39;t do too bad of a job.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eOf course, itu0026#39;s by no means a great- or particularly even good- film.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut the young lady does a decent job in her role as the babysitter.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWhile itu0026#39;s short runtime (approx. 70 mins) prevents it from being too much of a chore to sit through.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIt feels like it was made by kids.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eLike a school project.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eOr as part of a college program or something.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWhich- if such is the case- would explain a lot, and be laudable.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eJust donu0026#39;t go into it expecting much.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut itu0026#39;s worth a watch if you like to see what people can do with nothing to work with.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e2.5 out of 10.”
