“Me and Me Dad (2012)u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e *** (out of 4)u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis documentary from director Katrine Boorman has her taking a look at her father John Boormanu0026#39;s career. She starts off early on talking about why she wanted to make a documentary on her father and then from here we get several nice stories from her father.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis here really isnu0026#39;t a documentary but more like a daughter wanting to talk to her father about the films that he made. Not only does Boorman talk about some of his movies but he also shares a few details about his personal life. Of course, most people are going to be coming to this for the comments about his films and we get some pretty good stories told about the making of POINT BREAK and DELIVERANCE. Thereu0026#39;s also quite a bit of behind-the-scenes footage from DELIVERANCE, which was fun to see.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eNot all of his movies are discussed and his apparent hatred for EXORCIST II is briefly mentioned by him hinting at the title without naming it or going into details. Thereu0026#39;s certainly nothing ground-breaking about this film and thereu0026#39;s no question that the director deserves a full documentary to go into details about all of his films but at the same time this here was worth watching.”
