“Granted, I was not familiar with the Manga series this 2009 live action movie was based on. And I had never even heard about the u0026quot;Gokusenu0026quot; title before 2021 as I sat down to watch u0026quot;Gokusen: The Movieu0026quot;, so I literally did not know what I was getting myself into here.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAnd now that I have seen the movie, I canu0026#39;t really claim to have become a fan of whatever this was based on. In fact, this movie was not really interesting or entertaining. Sure, it was semi-watchable, but the movie just fell short of being properly entertaining for my liking.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe acting in the movie was adequate, but taking into consideration the limitations of the script and storyline, then it wasnu0026#39;t outstanding performances being put on here. And for some reason, most of the male cast were upset or raising their voices 90% of their dialogue. So it grew tedious to listen to, much less watch.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHaving seen the 2009 live action movie u0026quot;Gokusen: The Movieu0026quot; from director Tôya Satô, I am not going to rush headfirst out to track down everything titled u0026quot;Gokusenu0026quot; to watch.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe storyline in u0026quot;Gokusen: The Movieu0026quot; just didnu0026#39;t offer anything much for me. I like the intro sequence, with the airplane and the hijackers, but after that the movie sort of slumped in on itself and just trotted onwards in a monotonous and not overly enjoyable fashion.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eYeah, I wasnu0026#39;t particularly impressed with this movie, but it wasnu0026#39;t among the worst of Japanese live action movies based on a Manga. So that at least counts for something. And I am sure that there was and is an audience out there for a movie such as u0026quot;Gokusen: The Movieu0026quot;.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMy rating of u0026quot;Gokusen: The Movieu0026quot; lands on a less than mediocre four out of ten stars.”
