The Suspect (2006)

The Suspect: Directed by Keoni Waxman. With Jamie Luner, Adrian Hough, Christian Bocher, Taylor Reid. Fenton, California is shocked when local lawyer Paul James, a model citizen and house-father considering to stand in municipal elections, is shot in his instantly torched car in front of his home. His second wife Beth is arrested and charged after cash and the murder weapon, Paul’s own gun, are found. Insurance investigator Jerry Calhoun, a former cop, on the case because Paul had a life insurance since three weeks, realizes lazy police detective Rhodes’s utter incompetence. When Beth escapes, even step-daughter Robin still reports her to the police. Calhoun however makes sure the truth is discovered starting from blackmail and embezzlement Paul was involved in.

“Donu0026#39;t confuse this with the 1944 classic with Charles Laughton and Ella Raines or the 1987 flick with Cher and Liam Neeson. They were excellent movies. I disliked this film very much. So much that after watching as much as I could I finally escaped and turned to another channel. My main objection, along with the stupid script by Richard Leder and poor direction by Keoni Waxman, was the leading lady, Jamie Luner. Iu0026#39;ve seen her in another film down the road and disliked her then and havenu0026#39;t lost my thinking. Sheu0026#39;s boring and so predictable, itu0026#39;s a joke. From her bad reading of lines to the horrible wigs she wore, first blond, then long red hair and then a red bob. Sheu0026#39;s too bottom heavy and should never wear those tight tight jeans which make her rear look like the Grand Canyon. I kept hoping sheu0026#39;d lose the battle. Of course, Iu0026#39;ll never know as I turned it off just when her step daughter decided to forgive her. I was hoping the step daughter would disown her.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAs for the story, if you can believe that with police all around the place she could actually escape the court house. Running around and no one sees her? Then in an attempt to be inconspicuous, she wears a stupid hat, huge sun glasses and the phony wigs. Walking around looking so obvious that any cop would think thereu0026#39;s something weird about her. She is continuously breaking into other peopleu0026#39;s homes, offices. And still no one catches her. This ainu0026#39;t reality.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eDonu0026#39;t waste your time on this. Also Jamie Luner should stop acting. Sheu0026#39;s 40 plus in years and trying to look younger. Grow up. Play your age if you have to.”
