“No, itu0026#39;s not Citizen Kane. But would you expect it to be with a name like u0026quot;Meatballsu0026quot;? Itu0026#39;s the best damn summer camp movie of all the summer camp movies. Does anyone quote u0026quot;Little Darlingsu0026quot; line by line? Or u0026quot;Whitewater Summeru0026quot;?u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis is just one of those movies that got into my brain when I was in junior high, and stayed with me all these years. Every time I feel geeky, I mumble u0026quot;Spaz. Spaz. Spaz. Spaz.u0026quot; Or when weu0026#39;re hiking in the brush in the forest, I tell my husband, u0026quot;Iu0026#39;m Wudy da Wabbit.u0026quot; (He doesnu0026#39;t get it). u0026quot;It just doesnu0026#39;t matter. It just doesnu0026#39;t matter.u0026quot; I mean, this stuff is classic!u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eDisappointed with the DVD, though. Wish there were special features, maybe a commentary or a making-of. But the movie itself is a perfect snapshot of life as an adolescent in the late u0026#39;70s. Maybe not MY life… You canu0026#39;t help but want to run around out in the woods in shorty shorts and knee-high socks and feathered hair every time you see this movie.”
