Wild Hearts (TV Movie 2006)

Wild Hearts: Directed by Steve Boyum. With Richard Thomas, Nancy McKeon, Hallee Hirsh, Geoffrey Lewis. When Bob Hart, a widowed police detective trying to raise a rebellious teenage daughter, inherits a Montana horse ranch, he jumps at the opportunity to leave Los Angeles for the open range. Soon after arriving, Bob accepts the position as county sheriff and discovers that the seemingly bucolic countryside is far from tranquil. His problems include wolves who attack his stock, ruthless developers trying to take over the town and a female veterinarian with a chip on her shoulder, while trying to build a new home.

I seem to be in the minority but the I found the most of the actors unbelievable and the dialog awful. God awful! Whoever played the daughter was so miscast…her crying scene made me just want to clobber her – maybe her character was supposed to be whiny and unlikable.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe director/writers seem to depend on rely on old gimmicks to advance what story there is. I guess I shouldnu0026#39;t really expect originality necessarily, but Iu0026#39;d like the story to not be totally derivative and the dialog and action to move the story along without relying on every character talking to wolves as if theyu0026#39;re holding a conversation (and from what I could tell, the wolves were the ones with the good lines!).”
