Deli Man: Directed by Erik Greenberg Anjou. With Steve Auerbach, Adam Caslow, Alan Dershowitz, Fyvush Finkel. A look at the history of delicatessens in the United States.

“This movie places the food centre-stage. And itu0026#39;s the most incredible food youu0026#39;ve ever seen. Even raw, being turned into delectable dishes, itu0026#39;s to die for. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI watched this over two nights, while eating dinner. And it still almost killed me. And Iu0026#39;m a great cook. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIf you possibly swing it, watch this on some mobile device while eating way too much food in a Jewish delicatessen somewhere. As the film itself points out, thatu0026#39;s hard to do, since in all of North America thereu0026#39;s only 150 left. But otherwise, youu0026#39;re going to be really hungry for several days. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eOne small complaint: they left out Montréal. Cu0026#39;mon, guys! The smoked meat sandwich thatu0026#39;s MTLu0026#39;s world-famous signature dish was a gift to that city from Jewish delis! Theyu0026#39;re the reason the French language now contains the word « le smoked meat ». u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eGreat. Now Iu0026#39;m jonesing for _that_. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAnyway, see the movie. If I could eat it too, I would.”
