“So there are a ton of reviews trashing this movie because theyu0026#39;re coming from adults who (like me) grew up with Disneyu0026#39;s Little Mermaid and have been waiting for the u0026quot;real peopleu0026quot; version of that movie to come out. But this movie is not meant to be a remake of Disneyu0026#39;s Little Mermaid, itu0026#39;s meant to be a twist on that story. (I also think itu0026#39;s kind of hysterical the people saying the fight scenes were boring and didnu0026#39;t look real; itu0026#39;s the effin Little Mermaid, if you were looking for decent action scenes, youu0026#39;re an idiot.)nDonu0026#39;t have expectations when you watch this movie; Iu0026#39;m not saying that in the sense youu0026#39;ll be disappointed, Iu0026#39;m saying that because this isnu0026#39;t Disney, and itu0026#39;s not u0026quot;theu0026quot; remake weu0026#39;ve been waiting for; thatu0026#39;ll come out eventually. This a childrenu0026#39;s movie based loosely off of the original, and I actually think itu0026#39;s good. Itu0026#39;s not necessarily a movie I would watch again, but not because it sucked, just because itu0026#39;s a little too calm for me. And I think thatu0026#39;s exactly whatu0026#39;s good about it. This is exactly the type of movie I would put on while babysitting. Itu0026#39;s sweet, itu0026#39;s clean, the love between Cam and Elle is inspiring, and the fighting scenes arenu0026#39;t intense at all.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e@EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THE MOVIE: Well done, truly. You somehow got the green light to produce a movie in the 21st Century without violence, without sex, without hidden innuendos (as EVERY kidu0026#39;s movie has nowadays). Try not to let the haters bother you. Darkness will always try to choke out the light.”
