Music: Directed by Sia. With Maddie Ziegler, Mary Kay Place, Leslie Odom Jr., Braeden Marcott. Zu is newly sober when she receives news that she is to become the sole guardian of her half-sister named Music, a young girl on the autism spectrum. The film explores two of Sia’s favorite themes: finding your voice and creating family.

“Even if you try to look past how tone-deaf the film is, the plot is still mind-numbingly painful to watch. Siau0026#39;s u0026#39;Musicu0026#39; is dressed as a telling of an autistic story but the autistic character is only a subordinate character, lacks depth, and only exists to ignite some sort of character development for the main character. It is offensive as it plays into harmful stereotypes towards people on the autism spectrum, uninteresting, and poorly put together. While the songs are well-written and catchy, their insertion into the dragging narrative only stretches it further. Everyone involved should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.”
