Win, Lose or Love (TV Movie 2015)

Win, Lose or Love: Directed by Steven R. Monroe. With Corey Sevier, Helena Mattsson, Catherine Hicks, Kayla Madison. Young, recently-single parents Clara and Alex have two completely different parenting styles: while helicopter mom Clara hovers over her son Oliver, Alex’s daughter Emma feels out of touch with her father’s life. Their two worlds collide when Alex proposes that his marketing company shoot a commercial at the kids’ school and Clara, up for election as the parent-group president, objects to the idea. The commercial is Alex’s last hope for keeping the company afloat, so in a moment of desperation, he nominates himself for parent-group president. Clara and Alex end up tying for president and must work together to run the group until the mandated re-vote. The bitter rivals struggle for power, outfoxing each other at every chance, until the matter of raising their children puts things into perspective; they come to a mutual understanding and even ignite a spark of romance.

“This is a pleasant enough romance over some school parents committee. The actors Helena Mattson and Corey Sevier make a cute couple. The little drama at the end about some sports equipment is the usual formula and a bit contrived. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eNot too different from other TV movie romances but fine if you are in the mood for this kind of movie.”
