Beyond Right and Wrong: Stories of Justice and Forgiveness: Directed by Lekha Singh, Roger Spottiswoode. “Beyond Right u0026 Wrong” looks at areas of conflict around the world and asks what it takes to forgive, and what it takes to ask for forgiveness under the most difficult of circumstances. Paired personal interviews of aggressors and victims from Northern Ireland, Rwanda, Israel, and Palestine, BEYOND RIGHT AND WRONG examines anger, understanding, remorse, tolerance, and sometimes clemency. The survivors’ stories are haunting and inspiring, and the film is a meditation on justice and its role in national and personal healing.

“Beyond Right and Wrong is an outstanding film. The stories used to illustrate the power of forgiveness are of people who have gone through tragedy beyond what most of us can imagine. The power of the film is in that, having seen and felt the stories of people who have forgiven for great evil done to them, we are better enabled to forgive the wrongs that have retained power over us by our inability to forgive. In addition to its compelling content, the documentary story telling and movie production quality are superb. I strongly recommend this film as I believe it will benefit any who watch it. I would caution parents of children under 12, as the tragedies described may be too painful for a child to process.”
