“A -{ B i g }- Screen Review, republished -Long- after the cinematic release of the picture, as a rewrite .u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e______________________________________________________u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWard : u0026quot; What touched this place cannot be quantified or understood by human science. It was just a color out of space. A messenger from realms whose existence stuns the brain and numbs us with the gulfs that it throws open before our frenzied eyes u0026quot; .u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e______________________________________________________u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSo hereu0026#39;s the thing. I Honestly donu0026#39;t know which was more u0026quot; Macabre u0026quot; . Watching Nicky Cage go, well, -{ Almost }- er, u0026quot; Full-on Batsh… Nicky Cage Crazy { π } u0026quot; …Or the -{ Actual }- spooky stuff in the film ; { and believe me, there is a veritable ( -Ton- ) of it, to boot, I can Un-equivocally assure you }. On a really Positive note, however, I was utterly Wowed by a -{ Lot }- of the movieu0026#39;s Sheerly Superb Cinematography, courtesy of its veteran D. P, Steve Annis. From delectably wide nature shots and u0026quot; Lavish u0026quot; Sunrise u0026amp; Sunset Vistas to some Truly astounding nature capture , { including, but not limited to } . . . Several Completely -Stunning- u0026#39;More Thanu0026#39; Poster Perfect π shots of towering trees u0026amp; glittering lakes . . . A -Good- deal of the picture is an un-deniable, veritable , u0026quot; Rich Visual Treat u0026quot; . Not to mention the super-Vivid u0026quot; Colour Kaleidoscope u0026quot; that gradually accrues, permeating a -Significantly- large proportion of the filmu0026#39;s eerie frames, as a -{ Direct }- result of the Alien-presence that u0026#39;The Meteoriteu0026#39; brought with it. { No spoilers here ; this is ( -All- ) in the trailer } .u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eEverybody gives a -Hugely- commendable performance in u0026#39;Color Out Of Spaceu0026#39;, ( broadly speaking ), with a -{ Particularly }- Special π u0026quot;Mention-Of-Noteu0026quot; going out on the one hand to the movieu0026#39;s amateur occultist, Madeleine Arthuru0026#39;s u0026#39;Lavinia Gardneru0026#39;, and on the other to Tommy Chongu0026#39;s all-knowing Deep-forest-sage, u0026#39;Ezrau0026#39; . Whatu0026#39;s more, the story in u0026amp; of itself, is Absolutely, Positively . . . -{ Solid }- . . . Although it very clearly bears noting here that there are -{ Very }- many rather disturbing scenes, in said film. ( As, I suppose, is only to be only expected from a film of this particular nature ). So, All-said-u0026amp;-done, and as a u0026quot; Firm , Unwavering -{ Non }- Horror-movie Aficionado u0026quot; ; I must say that as a u0026#39;Pure, flowing work of artu0026#39; alone ; this often u0026#39;Grotesqueu0026#39;, yet all at once often -{ Beautiful }- picture… { swaddled in its u0026#39;Shockinglyu0026#39; Vibrant, Psychedelic, Phantasmagoric ( -Even- ), u0026quot; Visually Extravagant Hues π u0026quot; } …succeeds, well, u0026quot; Phenomenally u0026quot; .u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSummation : Gifted Director Richard Stanley alas , has hit a bit of a stumbling block, by way of allowing the u0026#39;afore-mockedu0026#39; { yet ( -Very- ) talented, letu0026#39;s be clear } Nicholas Cage a tad -Too- Much Leeway, with his outright u0026quot;Over-The-Topu0026quot; Scenes. If I -Had- a 15 year old , I would most definitely -{ Not }- want her or him watching such scenes ( The Film Is Rated u0026#39;15u0026#39; ). For this reason -Alone- , itu0026#39;s going to have to be a u0026#39;Sizeablyu0026#39; reduced ; yet -{ Nonetheless }- u0026quot; Sparky , Lustrous 7.50 Marks Out Of 10 u0026quot; , from me π π₯ π .”
